me and a buddy fished the south end of fish lake on saturday (1/7) from about 8:30 - 12:00. had to move around few times until we found a good spot where the fish were hitting. then we lit them up. caught 81 total (my buddy-44, me-37). we were in 15 ft. of water. we managed to catch perch, splake, and rainbows at that depth. we probably caught 20% perch, 40% splake, and 40% rainbows. a few of the bows and splake were decent size, but nothing huge. it was still fun catching lots of fish. we used small white jig heads with mealworms then perch meat. it seems that the bows preferred the mealworms over the perch meat. the wind picked up towards the end of the day and made it a bit chilly. other than that, weather was mostly sunny. fishing pressure was light. still open water in the middle of the lake. ice was 6-8 inches where we drilled holes. talked to one guy that said he was in 70-80 ft of water fishing for macks, but he hadn't had a bite when i talked to him. he had been fishing for an hour.
