I am thinking about throwing my bait out for a day and fishing Mantua. Any ideas where to fish or what to fish with.

Have you heard what the ice conditions are up there? Last I heard it was still unsafe. I would like to try for some of the bigger largemouth in there this winter, but am waiting to hear of anglers on the ice and good solid ice conditions.

The guy at custom sports is hyde park said he heard reports of some nice fish. The east side was frozen over before christmas and i am sure it is safe. The west half i don't know. I heard it froze and thawed several times and with the latest snow it will be difficult to tell old ice from new. Good luck
