[cool] Myself, Along with some fello bfters are going to Flaming gorge for a few days of fishing in July. We want to stay at a motel/Hotel. Can any one provide some insight on their experiences with any certain one that would be the best one to stay at. We dont have to stay at a 5star place, But we don't want to stay at the cockroach in either.
Thanks for your help.

Well if you want to stay in Manilla, the only option that I know of is the Villa. It's definately no 5 star resort, but it's a bed. I don't know what the prices are like in the summer, but last winter I remember it being right at 50 buck a night. On the other side of the lake you've got a few more options like Flaming Gorge lodge and red canyon lodge, they are a little nicer, but I'm sure they might be a little spendy in the summer.

[black]Hit the tent area in the KOA if you don't have an RV. They've got a pool and decent shower room. Its a nice RV park compared to everywhere else.[/black]

Lucerne Valley Marina has a campground but it blows. No showers but a bathroom. We stay there every year from a week but go into town to shower a few times. It right there at the ramp though.

There is also another motel with kitchenettes in Manila. I can't remember the name though. IFG and I stayed there. It wasn't great but it was ok. Right across from the KOA. If you decide to go there, the kitchenette has no pots or utensils so bring all your own stuff if you cook for yourself.

I don't remember the name either. It was $75.00 a night and that was in April. I wasn't worth it. Pm BLM for the place we stayed at last time, it's not the Ritz, but it has beds and a shower. It was clean and they had a coffee maker. Good enough for me. It also cost less then it would have if I dragged the camper up.
IFG
There's a place called "the villa". I think it also goes by "rainbow inn" or something like that. You can go to fishflaminggorge.com and Jim has info posted on his site for the villa and other areas. I enjoyed the villa because its satellite tv and it is way nicer than the other place I stayed a couple years back. Nothing else to do in the evening in manilla except watch tv.

We always stay at the vacation inn it has a kitchen a front room with tv and two twin beds. The cost is around $70.00. We have stayed there the last 3 years and I just made reservations for this year in June. Also plenty of room to park the boat and truck. No complaints.

[black]Yup, The Vacation Inn. Both IFG and I couldn't remember the name of the place. It's OK. It will remind you of hotels back in the 60's. If there is three of you, someone will either sleep on the floor or the couch.[/black]
