[cool][#0000ff]Are these the beasts?[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I used to use the Mepps Minnows a lot for largemouths, smallmouths and white bass in California. They also worked well in salt water. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I don't know why they would not work on wipers. However, as most wiper chasers soon find out, the hot lure one day can be worthless the next day...or even later on the same day. Those would be worth keeping in your tackle box. Wipers do hit spinners.[/#0000ff]

Those are the beasts and they looked good enough to use so I think I will purchase some and try them on Willard.

[cool][#0000ff]If you are going to buy some, be sure to shop around. I think you said they were $14. You can find them on several websites for under $10. Still pricey but less than those $30 plugs some musky hunters fork over.[/#0000ff]

I've tried them for Macks. Filled them full of scent and dragged them around. I caught nothing. As a note, I never do well trolling for Macks.

A couple years ago I purchased some similar lures to those (an off brand so they were far less expensive). I have tried them a few times trolling, including at Willard, and I have yet to catch a fish on them.
