what's up fellas? i'm thinking of heading to the berry tonight for some night fishin and was wondering how much new snow has fallen on the lake in the past few days. has anyone been up there the last day or so? my cargo sled doesn't do so well in powder and would hate to get up there to find 18" of fresh stuff on the lake. maybe this post will save me a trip. i hope not cuz i'm fien'en. laters

I hit Mud Creek last night. Main road was being plowed as we left at 2 a.m. Mud Creek is plowed, didn't make it to the marina. A good 6-8" of fresh snow is on the ice. 4 wheelers are probably out. Also, if you hit Mud Creek, the plow job they did there really messed up access. I got my snowmobile buried several times, but once I got it 1/2 way down the ramp, all was good. Drifts are bad, at least waist deep. It was actually very nice once on top of the ice. Good fresh powder and the snowmobile was smooth sailing.

Did the new snow cause any slush?

None as of yesterday, but it was very fresh powder. It was ideal for a snowmobile and wouldn't have been bad for walking. No slush anywhere, even around our holes it would freeze up solid within minutes after drilling.
