Brandon, it worked!

It's a miracle! Thank goodness for test posts[Wink]

OK you guys fell for it hook line and sinker!!!!! Who would have thought I could get a double on here.

Just kidding, I was trying to get a picture icon under my name and it wasn't working right. I had it way to big.

Thanks for the reply anyways.

I thought that might be what you were doing (picture icon). Be aware that it is not necessary to make a post to see what your icon will look like. When one changes their icon or signature it shows on all posts, past and future. So all one needs to do after making a change is to go back and look at a previous post.

Elk,

I had a buddy send me a few picuters of the ELK in your icon.Nice Icon by the way Do you by chance know where that was taken or by whom. They where fowarded to him.
[signature]
Yes they were e-mailed to me also I don't know who took the photos or where they were taken. It sure would have been cool to be standing there watching.

I heard those pictures were taken at Yellowstone. I'm going to try a test post, since this is the official test post thread.
This is where you went wrong. Type a message that you want people to click on to get to the link. It helps to highlight the message by dragging your curser over the message while holding down the left mouse key and then bolding it, or underlining it, or both. Highlight the message by dragging your curser over the message while you hold down the left mouse key. Now click on "Link" button on the tool bar next to the picture above. Delete "http://" from the Link window. Either use Ctrl-V or right click and past your link into the window. Then click on "Submit".

That is one way to post links, but here is a better way (IMHO).

That is what I was trying for Kent but haven't figured it out yet, as I'm sure you can see. If you read the directions I was given, can you give me any ideas were I went wrong? Thanks for any help.

[size 1]Curt, try that. [/size]

I'm not sure where the picture is your talking about in you statement,"Now click on "Link" button on the tool bar next to the picture above.". Sorry Kent, I understand the copy and paste part but you lost me after that.
[signature]
Curt, while you are typing a post, look just above where you are typing. All the way to the right on that tool bar and you will see a picture inside of a pictur frame. Just right of that is a couple links of a chain. When you highlight where you want to post your link, that link of chain will darken up, and you can click on it.
[signature]
That must be the problem because I don't have a picture inside a picture frame on my tool bar. I don't even see a tool bar above the message I'm typing, is this on the BFT page or is it above the web page?
[signature]
It's on the BFT page, about 1/2 inch above what I am typing now. My "Post Style" is markup, if that makes any difference.
[signature]
OK I see that tool bar but I'm in Plain Text only mode and I don't see any picture in picture(PIP). I just changed over to Markup but I still don't see any PIP, all I see is the word ICON then the word NONE with a green dot in the middle of a circle, then a green happy face with a empty circle, that continues with the last item being fire. I'm I missing something?

You made it, only twenty to go and you'll be a shiner.

What you are describing is two rows above the tool bar that I am describing. Someone who understands computers better than I do will have to rescue you.
