[ul][li]2 tablespoons Margarine [li]2 tablespoons all-purpose flour [li]1/4 teaspoon salt [li]1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese [li]1/2 teaspoon dry mustard [li]1 cup Milk [li]1 Green Onion, Sliced -- optional[/li][/ul]
Cook on low heat: melt margarine in small saucepan. Slowly stir in flour and salt and blend until smooth. Slowly add milk; cook 2-5 minutes to thicken. Stir in cheese and dry mustard and green onion if desired, and cook 1-2 minutes longer.
This recipe for Cheese Sauce - 3 serves/makes 2 cups.
