THis was 3 years ago, but I used to ice fish Rock Cliff in the evening quite a bit. The Park ranger used to shout out to me on the ice with a P.A. telling me when they were going to shut the gate. But sometimes they didnt close it at all.

I don't know the highway or road #s but I will my best with words.
Provo canyon to Heber city left turn at crossroads go though Heber. Outside of Heber about a mile or so and at the Joradnelle dam make a right turn at the light on the road going to francis? (Spelling) this road will follow the south side of lake its about 5 miles? to the rockcliff turn off watch for signs as you come down hill. make left turn into the park. Hope this helps take some rubber or cortex boots its very wet on the ice. The fishing is very good.

Once you get to Heber City it is US 40 you want to get on and go north thru the town and about 3 miles out of town you will come to some Stop lights and you will need to turn right and follow the road to the turn off to Rock Cliff State Park .

Not sure but I don't think they close it. I don't think its manned in the winter months. I did see the warden pull in as I was leaving yesterday.

They usually unlock beyween 6/7 am and lock back up between 9/10 pm. Depending on the time of year. During the summer there is a campsite host who will let you outuntil about mid-night, But this is at his/her discretion. You can call either of the following numbers to get current informatiom; (435) 782-3030 or (435) 649-9540.
