Took off and did a little fishing in the pm above Coalvile. Caught a few whities, nothing to brag about.
Now, the most important part of the post. - Before I went in, I saw the landowner doing his thing with his cattle. This landowner has a public access ladder so I thought I'd visit with him. We yaked for some time talking about mink, mink diseases, our dogs, calfing, raccons, fox, badgers, traping, how his dad chose to die, etc., etc,.
Well -----------------, there's been a lot of posts about lanowner problems, ethics, etc. (mosly on the other forum) so I asked him while we were yaking, how fisherman and the rest of the public were treating his property. ]He said that he hasn't had any problems!!!!! No problemns with fencing, cattle, trash, etc. WOW! [shocked] I just thought I'd mention this. I view this as a breath of fresh air!!!!! Keep it up folks!!!! Finally, the public (at least at this location) is getting it. [Smile]

Leaky
It doesn't hurt to carry a trash bag with you where ever you go and especially on the public access private land. As for the fence thing, if there is not a public access gate or ladder,it probably means you shouldn't be there in the first place. It is good to hear that there is happy landowner somewhere along the weber river. Yper, myself and a friend fished mt. green, peterson, and riverdale by the w.mart and there was trash (loads of it) everywhere we went. It is no wonder why the private landowners say NO.
Anyway, we caught 2 fish all day, what happened to the weber?[Sad][Sad][Sad] LH2
