[black]I don't know for sure about the ice at Deer Creek, but I talked to a guy who said he did fairly well at the main boat ramp fishing for rainbows with minnows. I'm getting the itch to get my boat out, too. I always HATE putting it up for the winter.[/black]

From the info I have gathered on this board you can launch at Deer Creek, Jordanelle and Utah Lake. I will be getting my boat ready this weekend and hope to get out next weekend on Utah Lake.

Have fun!

I went to strawberry yesterday and drove past Deer Creek it looked to be about 90% ice covered to me. Saw some guys standing out there fishing on the hard water.
There was some open water out in the middle towards the state park boat ramp that perhaps you could access with your boat. But if it were me I"d pick a different lake. Just my 2 cents. good luck.

We didnt actually do any fishing this trip. We were snowmobiling. We unloaded at Daniels Summit and took the tour over to the berry and back again. Just want to mention as we were trail riding through the trees that the snow level was as high as the names on the trees. It was way cool to see that much snow. That should put some water in the o'l pond.

Jordanelle has ice in the north arm and at the very end of the Provo arm, otherwise it was open. The jetski ramp looked good to launch.
