Full Version: Example of how much bigger a fish can look when you stuff it down the camera's throat

I was pointed to a link on here by a friend (other than bassrods) and saw a pretty heated and nasty natured thread and thought I would create an example to show that it is easy to turn a 25 inch fish into a 30+. Good old In-Fisherman trick.

Here is an example that shows how much bigger a fish looks when you stuff it down the cameras throat vs holding it without holding it out horizontally.

PS I have not disapeared, you all know where to find me. Wink

[cool][#0000ff]Good example, Craig. Where is the third picture, with that 12" fish actually posed next to a ruler?[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]You know you are always welcome here. Just cool it with the baby-kissing and the flyers. Yeah, we know where you live.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]By the way, no matter how big that fish REALLY was, it is a purty fish. Too bad you had to have the guy in the pic to spoil it.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff](Does Bassrods HAVE any friends? Sorry Cliff)[/#0000ff]

That's exactly what I was talking about, the camera makes a big difference, who cares if he didn't actually have a weight, he had the other measurements.[Tongue]

[cool][#0000ff]We're definitely on the same page with the camera thing.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Sorry, but I don't share your love of MB sounds. I blast it from speakers on my float tube to drive off carp. Unfortunately, all of the other fish just turn belly up. Gets me in big trouble with DWR. [/#0000ff]

Those are great shots - great photographer [Wink]

By the way do you remember the date of this excursion?

I would like to re-schedule another trip for this year is possible.

[Smile]hey in all my fish pictures they look huge. if you don't believe that they are that big you just need to come over and look at them on the wall. seven on the wall right now and 4 at the taxidermist. [Smile] [Smile]trfishin

Hey just like some don't like to fish for carp or catfish, some just don't like MB's music, no problem, but I have a hard time understanding how one cannot enjoy listening to "When a man loves a woman", in my mind it doesn't get any better than that.[Wink]

THE PHOTOS SHOW A HUGE DIFFERENCE.. BUT EVEN THE BOTTOM PHOTO IS STILL A FOOT AWAY FROM YR CHEST. SO IT STILL APEARS BIGGER THAN IT WAS. I HAVE MANY PHOTOS JUST LIKE THE ONES YOUVE SHARED. AND I ALWAYS WILL HOLD ONE POASE AWAY FROM ME. THOSE ARE CALLED THE WHOLY CRAP ITS A MONSTER PICKS. WHEN IN REALLITEY IS THER JUST GOOD SIZED FISH. WHEN YOU GOT THAT FISH LAST SPRING I DID NOT BELEIVE IT WAS AS HEAVY AS WAS REPORED. WE GET BROWN LIKE IT EVERY YR. THE LENGHT WAS ABOUT RIGHT BUT THE GIRTH WASENT EVEN CLOSE TO A 14 OR 15 POUNDERS GIRTH BY THE PICKS SHARED. BEUTIFUL COLORED FISH THOUGH. LOOKED CLOSER TO A 10 OR 11. THANX FOR SHOWING SOME OF US IT AGAIN.

[cool][#0000ff]Just pullin' yer chain, Bro. I like all kinds of music...even some MB. I have to be tolerant because TubeBabe is a gushin' teener when it comes to Neil Diamond. [/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Let's not hijack this thread with a philosophical discussion of music faves.[/#0000ff]

Admit it , you just wanted to show her off . LOL Nice fish Craig and it looks a lot fatter than mine this year but I will be trying to get a bigger one soon . I only have me to blame for my poor pic and yes I did hold it out some [Tongue].

Good to see you back Craig, been missing your reports. Being a big guy myself, I know how the camera can make a fish look smaller than they really are when I'm holding them. I think I would be OK if I could catch a 30 lb laker. LOL. I think TD hit it right on when he said, Clif has the record and that is all that matters.

It also depends on how big(weight, height) a person is holding the fish. I've seen pictures with some skinny person holding a nice fish and it looks enormous, and a bigger person holding the same fish and it just looks like a decent fish.

If I didn't already have enough reasons to lose some weight!
