Hello to all of my fishing mates! (I term I learned in New Zealand)

The semester study abroad program I am directing will be ending in four weeks. I was thinking about all of the ice fishing I missed this year while I was at the Bay of Islands (New Zealand) last week. A group of fishermen docked while I was wishing that I could spend a day fishing on the beautiful waters around me. They came in with a nice catch of King Fish (see pictures) which made my heart begin to pound. I was there hosting students and couldn't go fishing while I was up there, but I am trying to figure out how I can go back up there on my own sometime before we leave.

See you all in four weeks.

Beautiful fish! Lloyd, hope you are able to get after them before returning to Utah.

[cool][#0000ff]Nice pictures, Lloyd. Thanks for sharing. Yeah, right. You really know how to rub it in that you are in summer down there while we are in our fourth winter.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Those kingfish are the same species as the yellowtail a lot of us have caught off the California coast. They get bigger down there though. [/#0000ff]
