I tried to cover the whole spectrum of exotic fresh and saltwater species, that to me, are on top of the food chain. There are few if any anglers walking the planet right now that can say they have caught all the above named species of fish, if so, if they died tomorrow, their life was not wasted. Each of us, for what ever reason, have a dream fish, that up to this point in time has been illusive to us. Rather it be because of our location, lack of knowledge and know how, or simply don't have the means to go after them. What is your dream fish?

In reply to my own question, my dream fish is the Blue Marlin. My unicorn, my ghost that slipps through my fingers. I've hooked up in the past, but never for longer than a few minutes. The other species on the list are prizes for sure, but when it comes to Blue Marlin, it's personal.............It's a dream

I seriously would like to catch some Peacock Bass but if I catch one I'm sure there would be several others to follow. Then I would have to target some Payaras. I would probably end up never leaving Brazil.

That would keep me from my ultimate goal of Catching,Photographing and Releaseing a nice Great White. Those are hard to come by and I have only hooked one, had it at deep color and it bit right through my 230lb steel leader like it was 2 lb test mono.

If I catch my Great White tomorrow, I will then be ready to meet my Creator and thank Him for a wonderful life.[cool]

[sly] I thought about that, but i'd have to allow multiple answers, because that would be everyones first pick. Wouldn't have been fair to the other fish species.[Tongue]

I've been chasing a Monster Lake Sturgeon ever since I was about 6 or 7, and saw one hanging up in the resturaunt at the lodge resturaunt in the Whiteshell. The thing was bigger then the old tin boat I putted around in.

I would also love to hook a giant Muskie and/or Northern Pike. (not on the list, but deffinatly on my to-list).
