I bought me a fish cat 4 this weekend, and to settle the score I took the wife to wendover to lose about the same amount of money.... Too bad she didn't win I really want a new fish finder for it[cool].
Anyways, me and a buddy launched at "Lake B" about 15 minutes before sunrise.I Rigged up a 5" zoom worm and BAM!!! The first bass took it, lept out of the water and threw it back at me. After a slight modification to my hook, and losing the first 4 fish I started hooking up good. Wound up catching 6 Largies about 2 lbs. Later we switched to a jig head vertical jigging for Tilapia that appeared to be guarding they're nests. Caught 3 of them before having to leave. Off the water by 10:00 to make it back for the 11:00 checkout time. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better day for the first trip out... now all I need is my pirate flag.
