I'm thinking about heading to the Green River below Flaming Gorge damm for the weekend. Any one know how the water flows are? Also can anyone tell me what my options are as far as hotels go close to the fishing? Thanks for your help!

I wish I could give you more info but I do know there is a web site that list the water flows, hopefully one of the guys that know it will chime in and post it for you. I also know there is a motel or cabins right by the dam. There are several guys that fish there often and should be able to help you with that also. I was thinking it was called Flaming Gorge Lodge and if you contact them I'm sure they can give you the flow rates. Good luck and let us know how you do. WH2

Flaming Gorge Lodge is pretty much the only thing there other than camp sites. I'll be up there the first weekend of may if you want to join us!

There is a well hidden beautiful lodge and private lake just a few miles from Flaming Gorge called Red Canyon Lodge. There are Condos and Cabins there. One more place that may have a few rooms is in Dutch John at the new tackle shop. I don't remember the name though. Who knows the name?

I would definitely call first for a place to stay and reserve a room . Generally a lot of people go there in april . Flaming Gorge Lodge is the only place I have stayed at the motel there .

Hey fishwisperer,
Here'es some numbers for hotels. I have never stay at any so I don't know how the sevice is.
Flaming Gorge Lodge - 435-889-3784
Red Canyon Lodge- 435-889-3759
Spring creek guest ranch b&b-307-350-3005
Trout Creek Flies-800-835-4551
Red Canyon Lodge and Cabins are nice with a little lake behind the cabins with some huge trout. I don't think there's condo's there.
There are Condo's at the Flaming gorge lodge.
Trout Creek Flies is located down in Dutch Jonh and has some great breakfast burritos.
I don't know about the river flows.
I hope that this helps.
