My pontoon bladder has failed! It is a 2000-2001 model made by Water Skeeter it is called " Freedom". It is 8 foot long and 15 inch in diameter. The left side ( while sitting in the seat) is the side that has failed. I have called the parts department several times and have yet to get a reply. My question is, Does anyone have a bladder that would work? Would a bladder from a different model work if it was of the same dimensions? This is the worst of time to have this problem. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

just wandering is it just a small hole? Or can it not be patched. I tried to go online to water skeeter.com but it would not load. There are a few other sites that sell skeeter products. Is the valve for the bladder located on the top center ?I looked @ your model and it looks like a bladder from another toon will work.

The damage is at the valve area. There is a reinforcement around the valve and it has seperated here. I have tried various glue and repair materials and nothing has worked. It is a difficult area to fix. I have had other small punctures before and they were easy to fix, but not this time!

Try Parks Sports in Orem. They are a local dealer for Water Skeeter. I borrowed a float from them once as a demo. Well didn't realyy borrow, I bought it tryed it out and took it back. Bought my toon in place of the Day Tripper.

[cool][#0000ff]I think you are correct in your assessment that you need a replacement air bladder. Once you get a major failure, around the valve, it is tough to repair it so that you can fish with confidence. If you have tried Aquaseal and that wouldn't do it, then look for a new one.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]There are few (if any) online suppliers of air chambers for either float tubes or pontoons. You are pretty much at the mercy of the manufacturer or the dealer from whom you got the toon. Just in case you have not checked the Utah Dealer List you might want to give some of them a call.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The tough part of trying to get an air chamber from another make of toon to fit is the valve arrangement. Unless the shape of the air bladder is fairly close, and the valve is exactly the same, it will not work.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]However, if you can find a complete pontoon, with cover and air chamber, that is essentially the same, you can work out the connections to your frame.[/#0000ff]
