Went up to Mantua today the fishing was pretty good. I nailed this nice smallie he is 19 inches long. He must of been from someones successful bucket plant. Anyways caught him on a Maniac in the watermelon brown color. Dispite the screams of anguish coming from Predators boat, I still threw him back. I don't agree with people screwing with our only good L.M. bass lake in northern Utah. I should of probly kept him sorry predator.

That's a pretty respectable smallie! Too bad the bucket crew had to throw some smallies in the mix....can't have your cake and eat it to.

I could be mistaken, but i remember catching smallies with the L.M. when they reopened it to fishing. They were small(4-6") but there were quite a few. Anyone else catch any around that time?

The bucket brigade has planted smallies, green sunfish, and black crappie in Mantua. The state is very aware of this.

I think there must have been some sort of miscommunication...the fish you caught could have went to Minersville, Otter Creek, Piute, and even some others, but not Mantua.
