Well,

I ran down to the cabin this weekend (duck creek village) to fill my turkey tag...nada..had alot of birds around but none of them wanted to commet to my decoy.So I decided (after 2 days of frustraion) to load up the family in the new megacab and ran down to sand hollow res to see if all the great bass fishing was real or not.Well it is real and i suggest get down there!!!!..IT WAS AWSOME!!!.It took the sting of the turkyless weekend.We stayed for a few hours and I caught over 30 bass.A few guys around on float tubes and boats where hammering the HUGE bluegills.My biggest bass was about 3 pounds and the rest were about a pound.What a blast its like a mini lake powell.I was just wading up to my waste and the water was around 65-70 degrees.I am heading back down in a few weeks for a turkey but definitly sticking some bass to!!

Too bad about not filling your turkey tag but it sounds like the bass catching was great. Just how big were these huge bluegill? WH2

my best guess where about 8"- 10" 3/4lb..?? (bigger than my hand) and very fat.They were bigger than the ones in manuta res thats for sure.The guys I talked to where using red wata crickets tipped with worm in about 10ft of water..They said tehy were all over the place.I sat and watched to guys in a boat about 50 yrds away from me just load up on them they where getting them every min or so..very fast fishing!!..I still have the rest of the month to fill my turkey tag..I will let the big gobbler that I have scooped out live for another week!!..lol..[]

I can vouch for the bluegill action at Sand Hollow...it seems almost criminal...I hope people only take what they can consume and toss back any others that they lip-hook until they or their children wear out.

The bass action is hot too...I just hope people honor the regs and better yet release all bass of any size.
