went up yesterday to check out the lake. and do some fishing.. got there around 2:00 in the afternoon.. i could not beleve how much water is in there..got there and got set up with some minnows on a bobber and started the catching right away.. lol.. me and my boy went through a bag of minnows in about 45 min's.. and of corse i brought my traps but not bait! man i hate it when i do that.. lol.. so with all the bait gone we turnd to popgut hunting.. hehehe and there sure are alot of them up there this year!!

then we went back today but my buddy brought what he call's a boat with.. and we went out to try some trolling.. but trolling was slow so we went over to the bobble up.. lol well thats what it is.. looks like a big spring bubbling up.. we put the anchor down and started fishing.. i was doing ok drifting a minnow.. dave was doing better jigging a worm.. but my boy Tommy was knocking them best with a spin-A-lure.. most were small but did get some in the 18 to 19 inch rainge today..

by the way anyone with a boat want to fish the bubble up out there is a milk jug with a rope on it go ahead at tie up to it.. it will keep you right on the bubble up all day.. lol but dont try and pull it up it well seank your boat..lol

Hey Ron, I told you that you would be shocked to see how full Electric Lake is. If Huntington doesn't produce today we certainly will be spending some time over on Electric Lake, and if your rope is not in use we might tie up to it.

seams there is realy good news for E-lake fan's!!
i ran into a old friend in the store thursday after getting back from fishing.. he works in the skyline mine.. he say's " we pluged the shaft that the lake was draining into with a 100 foot thick grout plug".. so going off that info look's like maybe the lake might be fix'ed.. i sure hope so..
with it being full it is only about a 10 foot walk down the dam to the water.. that would be nice for ice fishing next year!!! lol

oh yeah almost forgot yes there was a ton of minnows at E-lake and they were getting in my traps alot yesterday.. i had bait yesterday tho.. lol.

I don't understand why the pumps were still going while you were there if the hole has been plugged?

they are still pummping water out of the other shafts of the mine.. there is alot of water down there still from what he said..
