Kent, I just finished watching it on the computer. great show. Jared & Gary sure know how to catch lots of fish. I learned a lot from both seminar's & fishing around them at the Gorge. Travis......

I missed it due to being too tired from fishing saturday . Did they find any kokes ? I should of tried the sling blades but stuck with what I have had success with . I'm not seeing the video of it yet on Doug Miller .

No kokes just cutts and a rainbow or two. They were fishing for the trout with the same tackle that they use for the kokes. Only difference was that they were fishing shallower because the fish were near the surface.

Yesterday everytime I thought I found some kokes at the berry it turned out to be cutts everytime . Did hook one cutt that I was sure was a koke until I seen the orange fins . It had a blue green color on the back with almost no spots except on the head .

i missed the show, but jared had told me he was going to be filming up there. kind of wished i had watched... maybe i'll check the web. too early for strawberry kokes, but that will change pretty soon. good to hear that they got some cutts at least. im sure they had to troll pretty close to shore to pick many up. im sure its fun to try a different place, even if it isnt red hot! that shasta gear works great for trout too! im not surprised to hear that they caught some on their gear... ive caught plenty of trout on shasta gear. one of my favorite rainbow lures at deer creek is an orange cripplure.

He was showing how to tie the Hum Dinger, with a knot that looks just like or similar to a Rapala knot. I wonder if it makes a difference on the catch rate. In the past I have just used a cinch knot but I guess I better try the loop knot the next time out.

ive always just used a cinch knot too. ive done pretty good on humdingers that way. i wonder if a rapala knot would work even better? hopefully jared will come on here and tell us a little more.
jared- what knot do you use to tie a cripplure? a rapala type knot too?
