I was on my way up to lake x when I decided to stop at Deer Creek and fish for some bass. I launched my toon and proceeded around the island. I was casting into the rocks when I hooked into a nice fish, a couple runs later I had a 4lb 5 oz walleye in the net, I only fished for 1 hour at DC. On Saturday morning I hit Lake X until 12:30. The fishing was SLOW for trout, I managed to catch 5 is all. Between the three of us we caught 8 fish total. A couple of the trout were pretty nice though.[

Water skiers were no problem at Deer Creek on Friday night, I think I'll go back up after work for a couple hours of fishing this week.[

What type of rapalas do you use? I've only fished them a few times and It seems that they aren't very heavy so you can't cast them very far. What colors and styles work best for you? people sure do catch some big fish on them. thanks
