Hello fisherman1996,
Welcome to the bft message boards.
I would have to go with topwater striper and lm on the freshwater side and Dorado and yellowtail on the saltwater.

In freshwater, i'd have to say large Flathead Catfish. It's hard to match the brute strength of a fat cat.[cool]
In saltwater and overall, i'd say Wahoo. Wahoo are one awesome target with blistering fast runs and a never give up attitude. They give you a run for your money, but aren't so strong that you have to take a half hour break after landing one. The table fare is out of this world as well; no matter if you're down with some sushi or like it on the grill. Smaller wahoo fillets make some of the best sashimi of all the species of fish.

The state boards are all the way at the bottom of the forum list. [cool]
This is a Wahoo
Also, the fish i'm holding up in my picture is a wahoo caught in the south pacific around the Micronesian Islands. They closely resemble the more common King Mackerel, however, unlike the kings, can only be caught in blue water. (gulf stream)

For me there's nothing like a good sea weed to give you a fight or something that came out of no-where, took your lure and won't give it back! [crazy] Ha Ha

Stripers are my favorite. I recently caught some white Sturgeon and it was a blast. I look forward to the big salt fish.

[cool]I'm all about the stripers, especially the "linebacker" types on steroids that hit like a Mack truck with no brakes on a Highway To Hell!

To me, I have yet to experience anything comparable to hunting huge northern Pike in the backwaters of Canada. I fish almost entirely with topwater lures, or flies, and it is incredible to see the guy come shooting out from 15 feet away with his back out of the water and then SLAM!!! when he hits your baby duck lure. It is almost scary. If you remember to set the hook on those incredible hits, you're in for a fun fight as well.
Just my two cents.
Everyone has their different ways that they get their "buzz" from fishing, that's why it's such a unifying and beautiful sport!

[#ff4040]As mentioned by guppyslayer, hybrid wipers are fun to catch. Lately though, my favorite is largemouth bass.[/#ff4040]

Definitely largemouth bass for the topwater bite...although skamania come in as a close second.
