[cool][#0000ff]I was just thinking that maybe we could plan an all day event sometime this summer. Start out with some early fishing, come back in and fillet the catch. Do a kitty krispies fryemup for lunch...along with some brats and burgers for those who may not be fond of PCBs. [/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Later in the after noon we could hold a bit of a kitty-whackin' seminar...with baits, rigs, techniques, etc. Then, when the sun starts heading for the horizon we could get back out amongst 'em for some darkness fishin'.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]No reason we couldn't do one of those both in July and in August. Anybody wanna start suggesting dates to see if we can get as many people aboard as possible. If we start far enough in advance most of us should be able to work schedules.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]JUST ONE THING: No big formal tourney type stuff. We all just do our own thing, with maybe some of us "holding forth" at the tables for anyone who wants to stay off the water log enough to listen. Other than the fish fry part, everybody is responsible for their own food and drinks.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]You down widdat?[/#0000ff]
[signature]
[cool]I am TOTALLY down wit 'dat!!!! If needs be, I'll grant my own freakin' kitchen pass for that one. Now, we just have to figure out when the full moon is for each of those days. I don't think my title company free desk calender states when the full moon is, so I'm going to ask.com to find out when...
EDIT: Looks like the full moon for July is the 10th which is a Monday night, and August is the 9th, which is a Wednesday. So, as for Monday July 10th, how's about a little "family home evening"[
](with beer drinkers aloud to bring their beer, of course) at Lincoln Beach??? I think I'd get the day off work for that one!![
]

i'm way into that one. cept i will be in san diego the third week of july. let's get it started. [cool]
[signature]
Why does this have to happen on the full moon. Besides the idea you like that kinda of stuff. Why not the friday or sat before. the moon will still be close to full and the cat fishing still good. If we do a all day nite thingie those of us that have jobs would have to miss monday and tuesday due to being up a good part of the nite. If it is on a friday nite or sat you can almost count me in.
[signature]
[cool]The Saturday before it (the 8th) sounds great to me...
[signature]
[cool][#0000ff]Right ye be on the full moon thing. It is more a matter of human psychological thing than anything to do with fishing being better or worse. The moon will be plenty big and bright the Saturday before, and it will already be up in the sky by the time the sun goes down. On one of our last "mooners" the moon did not come up until after dark and it was really grim swinging at those giant skeeters in the dark.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]If we make it the 8th, that will give us plenty of time to get the word out and do whatever pseudo-organizing we might wanna do.[/#0000ff]
[signature]
If the 8th is on a saturday count me in!![cool]
[signature]
[cool][#0000ff]That's what my calendar shows. But, it was printed in California so it may be in a different zone...or dimension.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]By the way, even though a lot of us will be in tubes or toons, there are no restrictions on how people fish...boat, banks, tube, toon or whatever. Please...no explosives.[/#0000ff]
[signature]
[cool]No explosives? There goes your plan, Mike!!! (BassAckward)[

[cool] we would love to make it down for that, if it's sat we can do the all day thing, if fri we can make it down for the skeeter battle.
[signature]
Hey TD, count me in. I'll definately be there for lunch [cool].
[signature]
Darn it I was really looking forward to useing some dupont spinners. There goes my fun. How about bottle rockets at least lol. A good old battle rocket fight sounds like fun. I can hear it now Mike you blankity blank you sunk my float tube he he he. Just kidding [
]
Looking forward to flotilla and a all day fish trip. I need a break to bad it is a month away.

Count me in July 8th.
[signature]
[
]Allright!!! I've been waiting for this announcement!! Guess I'd better get out and practice!
[signature]
Pencil me in for the 8th, I will be there a bit later than usual start-up time. Having trouble rolling my backside out of bed on Sat.
[signature]
[cool][#0000ff]You just bring your bad self whenever you can make it. This ain't no timed event. Nobody will be locked out if they ain't on the water at "blast off" time...whenever that might be.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]By making it an all day thing, anybody who wants can wander in or out whenever it is convenient. [/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Also, no need to make reservations. Although, if we get into more serious food preparation, it might be a good idea to get an advance list of the general numbers so we can work it right.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Your silly moderator might even come up with a few bucks for others who can be responsible for buying and cooking some dogs or burgers. TubeBabe and I will handle the fish fry and accessories.[/#0000ff]
[signature]
[#505000]Count me in... that is in the middle of my proposed vacation, and I was planning to put a hurt on Utah Lake anyway. I may also whoop up some of my dutch oven potatos (if I can bring myself to get off the water to make em that is![/#505000]
[signature]
[cool][#0000ff]It would be great to have your immoral support. Anything "Dutch Oven" has to be good. It's the law...right? Enforce it.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I figured a good long morning fishing session, followed by a group filleting session at the fish cleaning station. Then we can have a co-op lunch and some jawbonin' on kitty chasin'. That will give us a little rest. Whenever we feel so inclined we can launch for the afternoon and evening fishing session, with everybody free to come and go as they please.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Are you gonna bring your tube for a tuneup before then?[/#0000ff]
[signature]
[#505000]That is the plan this week has been hectic as we are celebrating Art City Days which means lots and lots and lots of overtime.[/#505000]
