Live bait or artificial?
The answer is really dependant on a lot of factors, including the species one is going after, the water, etc.....
Generally I go live bait. Usually nightcrawlers, but sometimes, Minnows or Shiners.

Big Fish, Big Bait. Lgmouth will take as big as they are it seems, but aku94 is correct in saying we need to know what your after to better help you.
