Where is that located? I've never heard of that body of water.

Are you referring to the Starvation Reservoir in Utah? If so - you would be better off posying on the Utah board [
]. If that is the one, let me know - I just returned from there this afternoon [cool] and will share!

That's good advise sk8, you'd be better off posting this question on the Utah board if that is the location in question.[cool]

The scoop on starvation ......
Water temp down by the strawberry inlet was still only 58 degrees last friday. The only warmer water is up in the salertus wash area - around 63 degrees, so the fish are not really in their active feeding frenzy. The fish we picked up on Sat were scattered but picked a few up near the sandy beach in the salertus wash area - they were 13 - 15 feet (seemed pretty deep for cold water). Tried a few spots in rabbit gulch with no luck - picked up a couple in the area south of the bridge at the mouth of some of those shallower small canyons, and a couple by a sunken island just north and east of the bridge - all were 15 feet or so trolling crawler harnesses (did not see a color preference - silver, green, red all about the same). Trolling about 1.5 mph. Hope this helps - i did not do any night fishing as the one night i was there the wind blew 30 mph!! So, if you do any good at night you'll have to drop me a note!!

Hey fsh4fun05,
Not much flow at all - part of the reason i think it is finally warming up on that end - unlike the other end - and the strawberry inlet was still on the dirty side as well as being cold. I did not mark any fish right down at the strawberry inlet. I also noticed the perch i caught (2 nice keepers) were full of spawn. Hmmmm.

I was up there Memorial weekend and boated some really nice perch and some nice smallies. Hopefully the perch have another good spawn with the high water. Did you catch any chubs? Starvation is the only place I don't mind them (walleye snacks).

No, no chubs - in fact, I have never caught one yet in any water that I have fished in Utah. I guess I am not doing my part to control their population [
].
