Woke up really early in the morning hoping to get some early topwater muskies. I unloaded my toon and waited for my fishing partner crazy Lane. He arrived and we proceeded across the pond to the middle fork. The action was slow until I was pulling an A.C. plug past a deep willow. The muskie exploded on it and broke the bait right in half. If you have fished an AC you know what Im saying. That fish was huge. Lane started throwing a buzzbait at the same willow and the fish exploded and he reeled it in and it was 43 1/2 (pictures will follow). It still had the other half of my plug in its mouth. That my friends was not the only thing that crazy Lane caught. He was tooning back across to the truck and a ski-boat wasnt paying attention and clipped the back of his toon. It flipped him over in the water and he lost his rod. Those guys didnt even turn around. That was pretty much all the fun me and Shane could bear. Shane's toon is out of commish until he can scrape up some cash. Also, a new rod. Probably better go during the week.[unsure]

Keep the rods up and lines tight.

WOW! What a day. Congrats for both of you about the muskie. Sounds like a team effort. I hope that he is still swimming for me to get a quick pic with him! What a fish. Some day it will be my turn. I assume that you buddy is doing ok. He is lucky to be ok. Thanks for the report. Jake

I have fished pineview for 5 years and have had similar experiences with the boaters. You gotta keep an eye on them at all times. Be ready to cast at them, pop the driver in the head with a plug if you need to... beats being hit by a boat or the prop.

Get the number if possible and report.

If anybody has contact with the fish cops, let them know what is going on. This is crap.
