Just wondering if anyone here has ever fished these waters. They are about 2 hrs. south of Scofield, and about 45 minutes away from Price.
I was there over the weekend (Millsite) and had to try it out for an hour or so. My boy caught a nice rainbow within 10 minutes, and after that...nada. We were fishing from the shore and noticed only a couple boats dragging lures. One guy caught a dinky little rainbow from his boat. The reservoir there is very high, easily the highest I've ever seen it- from all the runoff I'm sure.
If anyone has any info about these ponds, I'd apprec. a reply. I was wondering what species live there. I know there are albino trout along with the bows.
Fish on!

Feron res has brook, rainbow and some very nice cuts, also on the same mountain you have wrigley spring res, mostly planter rainbows, willow lake rainbows, brookies, and some nice tiger trout (great lake for fly and bubble set up) turn below the dam at feron res and about 5-6 miles in next drainage is duck fork (best kept secret in utah) its a cut throat brood stock lake (catch and release only) the fish and game stock it with tigers ,and there are in some very nice tigers in there. (to 24") Also the scenery is excellant. Snow may still be a problem as both feron and duck fork sit at arround 10,000 feet. I'm sure willow and wrigley are accessable by now though. Good Luck and post a report. Lonnie

Lonnie, you haven't been to duck fork lately have you? They poisoned the reservior 2 years ago to clear out yellowstone cutthroat and rainbow trout. After they poisoned the reservior, 2 years in a row, they finally stocked it. Last year was the first time it has been fishable in 3 years. The largest trout from the initial stocking are now up to 14-16". The colorado cutts are only about 13-14". There are no tigers up to 24" in the reservior! It was decent a few years ago, but if it's a "best kept secret" why are you posting it online for the world to see. Why don't you keep it as a secret, and PM your spots that "secret" .

First of all Yes I know the area well, I was raised in carbon county and I have alot of family through out carbon/emery counties. I am fully aware of the poisoning of duck fork. That being said , while I personaly have only caught tigers to 16" thus far' I did see a pic of a 23" caught by a family member 2 weeks ago, they went in on 4 wheelers. And while I was surprised, it was there. Maybe the dwr stocked a couple of larger ones. I personally have not swam in the lake pand personally measured each fish to verifie exact size and percentages. Second, I was under the impression that the entire purpose of this board was to share info and help fellow anglers out, and report on successes and failures. I don't recall holding a deed to any of the mentioned waters, and a fellow angler ask for info so I offered it. I have recieved valuble advice from reading this sight and I'm happy that maybe I can return the favor. Now if you are the personal owner of the above mentioned lakes, I apoligize for sharing info about your lakes. And by way of info, while huntington res, electric lake have been topics on this board regularly for a couple of yrs now (though I've fished elec since it was built) and there has not been a tremendous over fishing boom, nor have I noticed a deteriorating fishing experience at those waters. Now I ask should I share info and ask for info, Or asume all fishing holes I know of are mine and mine only. And I asume you are younger than me from your attitude, so does'nt that give me squatters rights on those waters? he he , No offence just a little food for thought. Lonnie
