I told ya! The buzzies are bad a**!!!!! There is sure a good crop of smaller tigers right now. Alot around 27" to 32". There are still some monsters in there also. Ask Cadresults how big the one was that came out of the giant cottonwoods. Heading up tonight with MGB. I hope to get a 40"er to the boat tonight since the biggest so far is 38" this year. Still a long summer ahead.
What colors worked for you?

I so hate to ask this.

What is a buzz bait ?

It is basically a top-water spinnerbait. Good enough?

LH2,

You made me a believer!! And anyone who says they are a fish of "1000 casts" is lying!

Musky is called the fish of 10,000 casts, not 1,000.
Pineview is a very, very special musky place due to its small size and large number of planted fish.

I have fished Musky most of my life in Wisconsin and Minnesota... and pineview is this a great system to learn how to catch the musky. We need to work on getting more of the 40" released.

The fisherman series looks good in a white/chartreuse or just white.

With the fiberglass mounts available with a girth and length measurement, it is rediculous to kill such a fish to get mounted.

yea some small ones, but you have to start somewhere. the buzz bait was black and our trolling lure was firetiger rapala j-9 I think that was the size. we trolled the south side of cemitary point because of the wind direction when it pick up. we worked the buzzbaits all the way around from cem. p. to the other point south.
right at first in the morning Ken got snaged in a tree just off the main point, so I drove up and when I was getting his lure from the tree I could see a tiger setting in about 1 foot of water by the tree trunck. I grabed my rod and tossed the buzzbait about a foot away from him and started reeling, bang, had him on for about 5 seconds and gone. the biggest was about 30in. and the others were about 24 except the cigar. lost 2 other (?tigers?) on jigs casting them out on cemitary point in the wind. set the hook and nothing, no lure and no fish. guess I need 1 spinner setup with fireline. later chuck

Are there alot of water skiers on pineview? Are they as obnoxious on pineview as they are on other waters or are there places to get away from them? I plan to make it up there one these weekends but work keeps getting in the way.

Fish Wisconsin,

When I said the fish of "1000 casts" I was speaking in the Doug Miller language. Isn't he the Utah expert lol.
