Here's our first review Barr Lake State Park. This is located North of 128th along I-76. One of our larger bodies of water being 1,660 acres and a maximum depth about 42 feet. It holds various fish, carp, channel cat, crappie, yellow perch, muskie, rainbow trout, walleye large and smallmouth bass and a couple others. It runs in a Northeast direction with the northern half where fishing is allowed and the southern half being a refuge where no fishing is allowed. There's quite a bit to do. Boating, trails, a nature center and of course fishing.
If you have spent time here let us all know what you thought of it.
Barr Lake - Catfish are on the move, hitting large shiners and cut sucker meat off the bottom. Trout fishing has been fair using orange Power Bait off a bobber (as of 7/03/06).
