Anybody have any news on Current Creek Reservoir? Going to be near there next weekend and wanted to see if anyone has been there.

I heading up there Thurs. for a long needed weekend away.
I was up there a week ago and lost track of all the fish caught and released.
As ususal with Currant Creek the cutthroat tend to be on the smaller size so you want to lighten up the drag for a little more fun.
From the tubes the lure that worked for us was small gold super-duper with a peice of worm.
Bank fishing seemed best with a drop shot rig or a worm under a bobber, just look out for the moss.
The road over co-op creek is open but slow going.

Is the Coop Road able to handle trailered boats and trailers or not recommended? I know what the road up Current Creek is like (the long way).

It's shorter as far as distance goes but for time it's about the same.
It's a dirt road and can be a bit wash-boardy at times but it is fine for trailers if you don't drive like Richard Petty or Tony Stewart. They usually keep it in pretty good shape. I've never had any problems.

Thanks - I may have to try that route, it can't be too much worse than the washboard around the lake from 40.
