Hey All,
Just starting in lure making and I've seen lures made with screw in eye hooks, others made in 2 halves with a groove made for the wire and a place for weight. Is one better over the other? The one with eye hooks, will it hold during a good struggle? Do you use some type of strong adhesive?

Well, I've been doing more research and for those who want to know, if the screw in eyelets are put in securely along with an adhesive (many use it) there is no difference in strength. I ran across some who even take a solid lure and will cut a small line through the bottom all the way across from head to tail half way deep. Then he makes a wire harness to fit and fills the line with epoxy.
