Met up with Old Coot and hit the dam for the early morning bite yeasterday. Old Coot was showing me his way to catch a musky. Once I had that down we went to schooling the fish. Only problem was the fish were sluffing! We only ended up getting 1 small musky and 1 small mouth. It was still a fun trip and a whole lot better than being at work.
Thanks again for the trip Coot!.

[#002850]Travis, you are a good student ... wish I had something to show you. Oh well, 8-9 years from now that little pup tiger will be ready to look you in the eyes and show you what REAL musky fishing is all about. Pineview in the morning is always enjoyable even if the fishing is slow.
Looking forward to another time with you when the fish are more willing to take what we have to offer.[/#002850]

Coot, look at it this way, I can say that I have caught a state record musky also. It will just take him a while to get there. Like I said in the boat, it's better to not get the big monster on the first trip out cause then I would just be spoiled. Now I have something to look forward to getting, just like the 15lb laker or the 375 P&Y bull.

Hey,
To anyone looking for someone to join them on a muskie hunt, i just started fishing for them and would be glad to pitch in on gas and learn a few things from a local guru!
Been going after them with fly rods with only two in the boat. would be willing to fish anything to see a big fish!
