Hit Trial this morning to escape the heat. Started off very fast with lil jakes gold spin a lure. Then it stopped for a bit. Switched to a black wooly bugger, and caught a bunch. Then I decided to try a jig. I have never used a jig in the uintas before. I through on a green whatta cricket with a green head and we knocked them dead. Between two of us, we caught around 40 fish throughout the morning. Caught mostly rainbow and some brookies. One albino. Fish were bigger when we went jigging down low. When I say bigger, I mean around 14 or 15 inches. Most were around the 12 inch range, and some really small dinks. The fish are smaller, but the scenary makes it worth while sometimes. Next time will be the Berry for some bigger fish though. Had a great time. Other than when we were sitting on our Toon's when several kayakers came right to us. I mean with in 3 feet so they could go in and out of the trees. They knew we were fishing. I finally flipped on the motor and cruised, and then they said sorry. Oh well. What can you do. Again, had a great time, and saw several kids catching fish and having the time of their lives.

Thanks for the report. How were the bait chuckers doing? I want to take my kids to either there or Washington Lake soon but we will just be throwing out worms and power bait. Were they catching them that way?
All shore anglers were doing good also. Great place to take kids and catch fish. Go accross the dam, and once you get to the other side, go down the shoreline about 100 yards. They were doing great there with a worm under a bobber. I watched a dad go between 3 kids of non stop action. I think he had about had it after a while because as soon as he would get a line out, another kid had one on, and they were lovin it. We were also watching the helicopter look for they guy who was lost. He went over us several times.
