I will be at a reunion at Pineview on Saturday.
I want to take my boat. Is there a ramp at Anderson's Cove? Where are there likely spots for Bass fishing? What baits are best. Also if I try for Muskie, where is best and what should I use? Do you troll or just cast?
I have never fished Pineview from a boat so this is all new to me. Thanks, DKS.

I'm pretty sure there is a launch at Anderson Cove, although I have never launched from there. Right around Anderson Cove there are areas that hold a lot of smallies. If you head right accross the lake from Anderson towards the Cemetary Point launch and fish East along that bank you will have a great opportunity to catch a lot bass and there are a lot of tigers in the same area.
Just find some submereged brush, trees, or bushes anywhere on the lake and there will be fish there. Cast spinner baits, buzz baits, rapalas, or larger jigs for the tigers. Perch, baby bass, and fire tiger patterns will all produce.
For smallies, fish the same areas. There will be a lot of smaller fish stacked up. If you want to get the big boys fish early in these areas, but as the day gets warmer you will probably need to fish deeper. If you have a finder look at 25' to 30' of water, and you will usually see the fish right on the bottom. You will pick up smallies fishing some of the same lures, but if you are really targeting them, then use a variety of jigs. Senkos, anything Maniac produces... especially the reaper, 6" worms, tube jigs, 3" curly tails, craw and lizard imitations, etc will all produce fish. I usually use a variety of browns and greens. Bluegill colors also work well. Be prepared to catch tigers on these as well. One of the best days I have ever had catching tigers is when I was dropping a 3 1/2" tube jig on bass in 30ft of water about this time of year. I ended up catching 6 tigers, and was broken off a few times as well.
I hope this helps a little. I am by no means any typeof expert up there. I hope some of them chime in and give you better. [
