On Saturday, my wife's family is having a family reunion in Fairview..... I unfortunately need to make an appearance at the reunion to keep my marriage in-tact... However, after a couple of hours of meeting "relatives" that I have never met before and eating some kind of food that has been concocted from some "Old family recipe"...... my brother-in-law and I are making a run to Strawberry to take our family reunion griefs out on some Cuts.

So now to my question.... I know that there is a dirt road that goes from Highway 6 to Strawberry. About 10 years ago I took this road and it seemed pretty rough.... lots of deep washboard. Has this road been improved at all? Has anyone used this road recently that can give me an estimated timeframe?

We're trying to decide if it would be worth it to take that road or to drop down to Provo and go through Heber.

Thanks!

Haven't been over that road for many years, and I know someone can give you a more recent update, but my question would be why not stay around Fairview and go fishing? You have almost countless opportunities (Huntington, Electric Lake, Fairview, Joe's Valley to name a few) just up Fairview Canyon, or you could head towards Gunnison and fish Nine Mile Reservoir.

they have done some big repairs most of it is now paved is the word someone told me not to long ago. with living in utah county makes it nice to fish alittle later so you dont have to worry about the provo canyon nightly closers. I have not personaly been down the road but that is just the word someone gave me

Yeah Kent..... I've got a TERRIBLE hankering to go to Strawberry. What drives me to want to go to there so bad is that I have recently come into the jigging scene and while I know that there are plenty of Cuts in Electric Lake and those fun fighting Tigers in Huntington...... I just can't pass up another chance to try for those BIG Cuts. We've had a couple of recent trips that have produced plenty of fish. So anyway, I really have no good reason for traveling the extra distance...... except for the fact that I'm addicted to the Berry!!! [crazy]
