Today was the maiden voyage of my ODC sport, 8' pontoon. Buddy (in a FT) and I hit Jordanelle at Rock Cliffs. It was a picture perfect day, light wind, trout hitting the surface (made me wish for my fly rod), surprisingly little traffic around the lake. As far as the fishing, the perch were quite active, giving my rubber-worms hell as I tried to scare up a bass. I caught three perch on jigs. No bass.

Despite that, it was a fine morning on the water.
'Toon lessons: [ul] [li]Put in didn't take very long at all, maybe 10minutes. [/li] [li]Sunscreen on the legs![/li] [li]Fins are pretty necessary, as is an anchor (have both, used both)[/li] [li]Have a way to tie off the anchor for shallower waters.[/li] [li]Rod holders are a must, and I might be headed to Lowes later today.[/li] [li]Make sure the 'toons are straight up and down, otherwise the pockets slouch.[/li] [li]ODC kicks ass![/li][/ul]
I don't know why it took me so long to buy one of these things in the first place []
I'm heading to pineview as soon as I can. Oh, and now its time to pimp my ride [cool]
