I beg to differ on the banjo minnow! I have seen them in action and can vouch for their effectiveness.[

I've seen it, I'm sure it will catch fish, but there's no one magic lure that works everytime, everywhere. I have also seen the banjo minnow catch fish, but I've also seen alot of lures catch fish.

I'd have to second the fact that Banjo Minnows DO work. I've caught smallies and largemouth with them at Deer Creek, and Largemouth at Utah Lake too.
They are by no means a "magic" lure, but they do catch fish very well when fished right. For me, they worked best in clear or shallow water (they take like 6 hours to sink -- they are neutrally buoyant), but they do look very lifelike and real.
