[red]This is kind of a question for utahsteelheader maybe but anyone feel free to school me. I was thinking of doing an overnighter on Willard with the boat. Troll around and boil hop until dusk, try to talk a Walleye or two into giving up from dusk until dark, light up the water drifting a worm across the bottom for a Catfish fishfry and see what else I could scare up with a curly tail jig then catch a little nap and start all over at first light. [/red]
[#ff0000]OK, Lake Powell or the Gorge, no big deal. We were out at dark on Hyrum Res. the other evening and the park ranger folks came out and chased everyone off the water. We were lighted and legal but they were very persistent in having everyone off their pond after dark for no explained reason. [/#ff0000]
[#ff0000]Now Willard questions. If I buy a day pass will I get ticketed leaving my truck and trailer in the parking lot overnight? How about if I display an annual pass? Any trouble tying to shore and cutting the lights if it gets to choppy for a nap or best to just anchor out a hundred feet with the stern light? [/#ff0000]
[#ff0000]It all sounded like some fun to me but didn't want to be doing something I wasn't supposed to. Many Thanx![/#ff0000]

I've stayed out late on Willard many times and I don't think there is a time to be off the lake. I know you would be ok if you have a season pass but you might have a problem with a day pass, I would just ask the person at the pay station or PM utahsteelheader. Sounds like a fun trip, hope you do good.

sounds like a fun trip Mike let us know how it goes

You would be just fine. It would be better if you had a season pass. We rangers at Willard don't care if you are out after dark, just realize that help is that much farther away. Anyways have fun and be safe.

Sounds like a great time. Of course safty is the next concern now that you know it's ok.
Leave a plan at home, where you think you 'll be, call at 10pm and say goodnite, let them know where your anchored up.
Make sure the cell phone batteries are fully charged.

Have a great time, let us know how you did.
