Now that the catch n release vs. kill and eat discussion has passed here is a question for ya.
This could go for most fish but I m interested in Stripers.
Whats the best way to cook the fare?
Bake?
BBQ?
use lemon
seasoning?

3 ways...

1. Your standard, pan fry with lemon, butter, some crushed garlic, crushed pepppers, and sea salt or garlic salt.

2. Bake in foil with thin slices of ginger and chunks of garlic. Season with garlic salt or sea salt. Place thin slices of butter on the fillets.

3. Tempura stripers. Buy a box of tempura mix from the store. Dip the fillets in the tempura batter and fry in corn oil (or olive oil to be more healthy). Make sure you have a good sauce to dip the tempura stripers into. Get tempura sauce, add a little soy sauce and vinegar, oyster sauce if you have it, and a little paprika for a nice kick.

Enjoy!

Best regards,

Paul
