I've been a Shimano man for many years - 30...I just picked up a Shimano Citica 200D and I'm in love with it...effortlessly can cast my weightless T-rigged Tiki Worms a mile.

I just got mine on sale loaded with 30lb test Stealth line for $112.00

Best bang for your buck? Abu Garcia.

If you want big bang and aren't worried about the buck part,

[Image: 81874.jpg] Daiwa Z

It's nasty smooth, super tough drag, and near indestructable. The ultimate bass reel. Price? Starts at 349.95

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear you like that Viento! I've had my eye on one of them ever since I saw the first description right after the I-CAST show. Since you have a used one, I'll buy it off you for $100! [Wink]

I really like the Abu Garcia that I bought for my Big Fish trips: muskie, catfish, etc. I was told by one of their representatives that if I wanted to get a low profile Abu, I should wait until 2007 when they come out with the all-metal bodies for them. He said he was extremely impressed with the proto-type.

best bang for the buck? at $349 it's got a lot of bang for the buck...but that's a little pricey for the average fisherman, and really pricey for the youths who are looking to get a good baitcaster for their money.

Most know how I have whined about the Penn Roddy 175.
I was complaining because of the name Penn on the side of the reel. Its made overseas and I thought badly of Penn for allowing their name to be placed on a foreign product. Actually for the money its not bad. They sell for $49.95 but can be purchased at around $29. I bought four in my reel buying feeding frenzy. I have one extra for anyone wants it. No box, I threw that wawy but its new, never used and perfect for someone wanting a reel at a low price.
$27.00 plus shipping.....

For the money Daiwas Advantge reels a a great buy. At around 100.00 for 7 bearings super fast spool and smooth drag this is a great buy. I fish with Shimano Chronarch SF and Daiwa Team Z reels. I got the Advantge reels for my kids and I was very impressed all the features of a higher end reel in an economical package. I think my buddy still has a couple for sale....
