allright guys. went out after that 2 lb perch i was telling you about. well none that big but i did managa a healthy 5 lbs of fillets. not a bad fish fry. but as the subject said i LOST my wallet. i was fishing rockcliff and was parked right by the nearest trees sticking out of the water. when i got on the water my wallet was on my seat, when we got back it was gone. perhaps stolen. but if anybody has seen it, its a light blue trifold, with a cross on the front. it had some money in it, but thats not what i need.

Sh_t Happens, its another one of the HARD lessons we must learn, and I've learned the hard way also, so been there, done that! Only difference is someone had to throw a brick thru the window of my truck to get to the wallet that was under the seat, UNDER THE SEAT!!!!!! They must has seen me put it there. Didn't lose my fishing liscense though and at the time I had no credit cards, but they got my checkbook. By the time I cancelled my account, they had managed to write out well over $1000 in checks for merchandise. I didn't have to pay for a thing. Just a pain in butt, and oh yeah I got stuck with the insurance deductible.

Working for a credit issuing company, I suggest you not only cancel cards but put out a fraud alert at the 3 main credit companies as well. exprian, equifax, transunion I think you can do it online or at least get the toll free numbers to call. plus have a new account number issued for anything that was in your wallet...this should be done even for bank accounts that they may have gotten a check card or ATM card from. it should be standard procedure to the company you deal with they ought to start doing it before you finish saying, I lost or had my wallett stolen. also file a police report for either a theft or loss of wallet, this can back you up if anything does appear that is fraudulent. last thing to do after all that is done, monitor your credit with some kind of service at least for the next year get a good service that will monitor for you and alert you to any activity on your file after the 90 day fraud alert expires at the credit beurau. if you can get one that updates you with a hard copy of your credit file at least every 90 days for you to look over. man o man, i got one of them letters from the veteran affairs office that they "may have lost" or "had stolen" my info and possibly my wifes...geeze, I laughed cause I already have all this stuff in place, I am considering opeing a law suit against them for negligence and breech of confidentiality. but thats hither nor thither. good luck man, I do remeber reading in forbes or something that discover cards was rated number one in credit protection services or something like that overall others...so I guess if you have a discover account start there. a few buck for services for a few years is a lot better than being served with papers a bout a past due loan for a car or 20k!!!
