I am heading up to one of these places tomorrow after noon. Did anyone make it out this weekend to either? If we end up going to willard we would be trying for Wipers and Kitties, as I have not ever floated it where would be the best place to go.

Any reports would be good thanks

For Willard, head to the Northeast corner. Minnows(dead) or shrimp and worm will seal the deal for cats. Throw pearl colored jigs 2" or 3" long with a white lead head for wipers. If you see a boil throw the jig right into it and you should hook up.

Good luck and let us know how you did. [Smile]

From the reports I've seen, I would head to Mantua. If you can get past the blue gills, you'll get some pretty good sized perch and bass. Recent Willard reports haven't been to favorable.

Hey Matt, lets do Mantua and see if we can't get a bass or two.. Maybe next time we can do Willard or Utah lake and go for some whiskerfish[cool]
I fished Mantua Monday evening. It is fishing very good. Just look for places that are on the edge of the weeds. The drop offs are full of fish.Bass, Perch and Bluegill.
If you want to avoid the pesky Bluegills, use larger jigs and go deep.
