The news reported that the croc hunter was killed monday morning morning in the australian barrier reef by a stingray. The weather had been bad all week for filming a special in the deep sea so he decided to film a childrens film in the shallows when he came upon a stingray and it stung him in the heart. The news reported that he might have died instantly because the stinger pierced his heart and was poisonous. My kids loved his shows and he will be missed. Its been a bad year for outdoorsmen.[unsure] My kids still miss doug and now steve.[Sad]

I hadn't heard yet....I always thought some croc, or a rabid hippo would be the end of him. Too bad.

I always figured it would be a gator or poisonous snake. Too bad. I liked his craziness. Freaked me out sometimes.

read that report first thing this morning... I really liked that crazy guy too... Sad he left his wife and 2 kids behind.....

I told my buddy and he called his Aunt who really enjoyed him and when he called she had just heard and was actually crying...
