Today Capt. Ben had aboard Joe and his crew. It was a tough day of fishing on the water today, but this group of four managed to put 42 fish in the boat with most being Speckled Trout. For bait they used live shrimp under a cork. When they got back from fishing, this group ordered a sack of oysters and sat, shucked, and ate as Capt. Ben cleaned their fish. They stayed the night before and Capt. Ben said that they cooked steaks on the grill. It was a good time for all and all left happy. This week, the "Pelican Roost" had 10 duck hunters staying in it. I was told that this group limited out almost every day on ducks and at night, they would cook up what they shot. On their last day there, they went out and did a little Redfishing in the shallow water ponds near by and, from what I hear, they caught some nice redfish. To stay at the "Pelican Roost" in Hopedale or to book a fishing charter, call Capt.
