Went to Woodhead park @ Brownlee. We got there at about dusk on Fri night. We fished from midnight til about 2:30a for cats and caught a total of 9 on stinkbait (Tequila kept us warm). Next morning (9/23) we fished for bass for 3 hours and did not get so much as a bite. It was very nice, no wind, sunny, etc,,, but they were nowhere to be found. The cats made the trip worthwhile though.

Wow you guys fished for 3 hours for bass at Brownlee and never caught one? What were you guys using for bait? I hope it wasn't that worm in that Takillya bottle!! I have never fished Brownlee for more than 30 minutes with out catching a bass. Better luck next time!

We tried everything, plastic worms, grubs, lizards, spinners, crankbaits, even nightcrawlers towards the end. I was amazed how nothing worked. We started at about 9am and fished til bout 1:30 before leaving in disgust. I know it wouldve helped to have a boat to at least go the the other side but we were in float tubes and fished it heavily across a couple coves each direction from where we parked which was in between Woodhead and the dam.

Nice load of cats, when we were there on the 16th the bass we did catch were nice size and they where at 30' suspended in deep water next to rock cliffs. We had a boat and tried jigging, cranking just about everywhere with no luck, until we found them finally at that location.
