Anyone know of any good places to fish for large mouth and/or Small mouth at lake mead or mojave? I used to cath them at hemmen way pier untill they moved it. I have also had luck at 33 hole.


Also a.c plug users!! Which lure and where have you gone that you have had luck on them?? Been thinking of picking one up to take to willow beach, considering i am there every other week.

I inadvertently caught some largemouth and smallies at Temple Bar on Heron Point. There are a lot of small coves there. I was fishing for stripers from shore using cut anchovies. On one occasion, a good size largemouth took the line right when the bait hit the water. It was almost immediate. On a different occassion, we land a few big smallies (between 4-8 to 5-4) all at the same time. I guess there was a small school of smallies swimming through, and they bit our lines all at once. We had them cast about 50 feet from shore with the cut anchovy drifting along the floor. If you're ever at Temple Bar, I would recommmend Monkey Cove. It definitely is a great environment for both species. Good luck!
