Fished the berry on 10/3 and slayed on Hula girl flies. They would take those suckers right as soon as it hit the water. My father in law ended up with one nice 23" fish, but the majority were right in the 19-20" range. Not a rainbow to be seen. That's ok though. If I want to fish for rainbows, I'll go somewhere else.

Those cutts put a nice bend in the pixie rod pretty good, and to think I could have been mindlessly throwing tube jigs.

Hey, I fish tube jigs every now and again, and I don't think I'm "mindless". Then again, I sometimes am. I'll admit the fly rod is THE way to go on those fish, though. Thanks for the report TubeDud.

[black]Hey man I hear you got some never fail flies for sale, are they the same as last year that put so many people into the big-un's at the berry?[/black]

I've got some good ones. That Hula is a soft hackle style fly kinda like a gartside, but with more guts and bulk. It rides kind of like a tube jig.

Is there any place to see or to buy this amazing fly. Do you sell them? Do you have a picture of what they look like? What color is this fly. I have so many flies now that I should never buy another one but yours sounds interesting. Thanks for sharing.
