Headed out to Howard Slough tonight at about 3 pm and went right to the "meat line". Sat between the 2 ponds and shot about 3/4 box of shells and got 1 hen shoveler and a huge goose. The goose came over at about 30 yards and we knocked it down pretty quickly. The shoveler took 3 hits with 3 1/2" bb's. It is amazing how much a little bird can take. Can't wait till tomorrow. More hunting and shoveler stew![crazy] No pics, forgot the camera and gave my cousin the goose.

Never heard that dike called the meat line before....suits it well. Getting a goose isn't all that bad of deal...heck I haven't bagged one in a while. Gotta change that soon.
