Well I finally started Pimp-in put my ride. Here are the pics of the sonar and rod holders. The transducer it is basically on a pivot. I found that pair of 3/4 in coupling are just the right size to allow a 1" T joint pivot on them. Than I just drilled holes for a cotter pin to lock it in the up and down position. I also do know in the pic the transducer in facing the wrong way. I was just trying to get a quick pic.

[font "Comic Sans MS"][black][size 3]I have seen it up close and personal. Great job! You really fly in that thing too.[/size][/black][/font]

Thanks. I like it, it is a lot easier to move around in than the old round tube i am use to.

PS Flygoddes I love your avatar that picture is great.

[cool][#0000ff]Lookin' good. Now let's see you get that thing up on plane...maybe tow a skier.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Once you get settled in, and can focus on the fishing and not the gadgets, you will probably really enjoy the heck out of it.[/#0000ff]

MAJJA COOL AND UNIQUE DESIGN. DO YOU HAVE IT BUNGIED TO THE BOTTOM D RINGS?
BTW HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR ODC?
[signature]
Thanks. I do have it bungied to the D-Rings. So far I love it. My only basis of comparison is I have used a BucksBag full tube most of the time and my Cousins older Caddis U-tube. But it really moves quiet efforlessly in the water. As for bulling the skiers i still through a bit of a wake so we have just stuck to the wake and knee boarding...

Nice job! looks good!

Majja:

Can you tell me how you attached the outlet box to the PVC pipe for the sonar mount? I can't quit see it from the picture. Also, how did it all work out when you were on the water? Anything you would change?

Thanks
RD

Yea I used a 1" bore bit and drilled a hole through it and than just popped in a couple of small fine threaded drywall screws I had, just for the added security.

Now that you described it, I can see how you did that.

Thanks
RD

Yea it was late and i was tired. I am possibly playing around with a slight modification to the where it is at. But i need to get a free Saturday to inflate the tube in my basement and play.

[cool][#0000ff]Careful with the drill and other sharp pointed tools when you are tired. Not good to screw things directly to the air chamber of your tube. Very deflating.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Lookin' good.[/#0000ff]
[signature]
hehe. I actually did all the screwing and drilling away from the air chambers. It was many trips between the garage and the basement that night
[signature]
that looks real good! i'm totally gonna rip off this design if it's alright with you!!!

Fine by me. I was always good at sharing.

[font "Poor Richard"][size 3][#008000]Hey there TubeDude look at all the royalties we're missing out on by not patterning our PVC Rude Goldberg contraptions. [Wink][/#008000]

[cool][#0000ff]Hey Ted, I know you don't mean that. It's all about caring and sharing. Right?[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I plan to set up a thread on the picture board for "Pimpin' Your Ride". We have some good pics in different places, and in past posts. I am gonna try to collect them all in one thread and keep adding as new ones are shared.[/#0000ff]

[font "Poor Richard"][green][size 3][cool]Thats cool Pat. One of these days when I get ambitious will go back to the drawing board & see if I can come up with a different concept for a tube rod rack. Ah probably not for if you haven't designed it yet then why try to build a better mouse trap.[Wink] Boy is my friend here happy to hear that. [/size][/green][/font]
