Anyone been up to Chesterfield lately? I have herd the fish have come back pretty good since they drained it a few years back. I was thinking about this Friday giviving it a try any suggestions?? Thanks M.H.

Four of us fished it on Oct. 12th and we caught about 15 (~6 hours of fishing). All of the fish were nice 18-20". I am thinking about heading up there one more time before the ice so if you go please let me know how you do. We were fishing in float tubes with leech patterns (black, brown, and purple worked the best). We didn't keep any but had a blast. I think by next fall it will be really fun up there unless it gets hit hard during the ice fishing season.

I've fished Chesterfield a few times in the last 12 months. I've done alright when I've fished it. The oldest fish in Chesterfield were planted in June 2005 so there aren't any huge fish in there yet. Hopefully we get good snow pack and the fish in Chestfield continue to grow. Ice fishermen shouldn't hurt Chestfield much because of the two fish limit. If you would like more information try searching some posts made about Chesterfield.
